“I stayed at a condo in Hacienda Iguana 4 months ago and came back to Nicaragua to see about moving here. I've stayed at 7 hotels and airbnb's and this is by far the best place I've stayed at!
So many good things to say. I was an hour late, so the guy wasn't at the gate with the key, so I said to tell him I'll be at Cesar's convenience store right by the gate. Within 5 minutes the guy was there with the key and asked me to follow him to the house, which is really easy to get to about 2 minutes away (so you can walk to the store, golf course, ice cream shop, bar/restaurant, etc). Also, it's on a side road, so there's not much traffic at all. No other houses or condos or businesses next door, so very peaceful. Beautiful house that's very well done.
Plenty of nice wood outdoor furniture on the very large patio with a roof for shade, so you can sit at the table for 10, or one of the many nice rocking chairs, enjoying the view of the golf course and the nice large green lawn.
There's something about the location and the house such that it stays pretty cool, so I've only used the air conditioning in the bedroom a few times for sleeping. Iain, the property manager has been in constant touch from when I started inquiring about the place and checks in every day I've been here making sure I'm good and have what I need. Jendry does a great job keeping everything clean including the patio and I tipped her 5 bucks for doing my laundry.
The staff help stays in an adjoining house to the side, so they're always around if you need something, but not in the way at all.
The kitchen is great and has everything you need to cook and eat. The plates and cups are good quality, not like the other places I've stayed where I bought my own coffee cup so I could at least have one good cup. The coffee maker works great which is key for me!
There's a microwave so I can easily reheat my leftovers. Just noticed a nice blender, maybe I should start making smoothies. Had a few people over one night and all the living room furniture is very comfortable and we had room for many more people as there's also a dining room table next to the living room/kitchen.
Nice colorful, tasteful paintings and pictures throughout the house that add to the ambience, not like the cheap pictures I've seen at most places. Hot water always works, unlike other places I've been. Plenty of closet/shelf space/hangers. Beach cruiser bikes are available that are perfect for wandering around HI like down to the Beach Club.
