When both my friend and I said wow simultaneously you can get the jist of the rest of the review. Excellent casa. An exquisitely large space which is full of character and feels like home immediately. We didn’t cook here but everything seems catered for. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and some welcoming touches with the towels and flowers on beds.

From your initial inquiry about the property, and throughout your stay, one of the two owners/managers of the home will respond within moments to your message. This accessibility extends to Maria Esther, the woman who greets, and graciously welcomes, you to the home. Though she doesn’t speak English, she is masterful at making herself understood.

My girlfriend and I picked a city we knew nothing about and were taken care of very well at Casa Marie. It was clean and the a/c and wifi were both very welcomed amenities. The pool is a cool temperature and it was the perfect refreshment after being in the tropical heat all day. A/C is very cold in the room upstairs. You have a perfect southern view of the Volcano every morning (that might have been the most magical part of the trip). Quick note: Do not leave any food on counters. Ants will find it very quickly. The 1st floor is open air but still shielded from the rain just be aware that mosquitoes can fly through but the bedrooms are sealed shut. Also you can arrange to have transportation to and from the airport...just know that it is a US $50 fee each way. While that does seem expensive to me, I felt very trustworthy of the driver(Yamil) and he was already waiting for me, outside of baggage claim, with my name on a sign before I even arrived.

Great colonial home and close to everything we wanted to do! This place is really something to see. If you love history and architecture don’t pass this home up! Wonderful rooftop terrace to have your coffee in the morning with a direct view of Mombacho.

Location is about an 8 minute walk to center park, which was ideal. Street was pretty quiet and we parked out front for 3 nights with no issue. Everything you need is a short walk away. There is a lot to do and see in this town. Enjoy!

This place is every bit as amazing as it looks in the pictures and then some! It is spacious and stunningly gorgeous. The kitchen is very well-equipped for you to cook or bake anything you might like. The bedrooms are spacious and each has an attached bathroom. Yes, the pool is literally right in the kitchen and dining area and the water is cool and refreshing, which is exactly what you need after a day out sightseeing or checking out Granada. James was always very quick to respond to messages and his partner, David, also was very communicative. I added him on whatsapp and he recognized me on the street and came and introduced himself. This is THE BEST AirBnb place we have ever stayed in. And we have stayed in a few. This house is an attraction on its own in Granada. If it's available - BOOK IT. You won't regret it. Amazing colonial house with a pool next to the kitchen ?! Great patio with a views, 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms. We were allow do the late check out. Which was great.

This was truthfully the most wonderful airbnb experience we've ever had. James' house was a dream. Wide open spaces, a beautiful colonial design and oh ya, a pool in the kitchen. Spectacular views and central yet totally secure and private. Fantastic service from the property management staff. Staying at Casa Maria was a highlight of our stop in Granada and the most interesting place we stayed in in Nicaragua. We are already planning our next stay.

My boyfriend and I were greeted by Marie Esther the language barrier wasn't an issue. She was warm and welcoming while showing us around this amazing spacious accommodation. The upstairs terrace has a great view of Mombacho Volcano and is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.

Great location, amazing space in the house, confortable beds, wifi, refreshing pool and a beautiful view from the master bedroom on Mombacha volcano! 4 or 5 blocks away from the Cathedral; easy and healthy walk! Secure, lovely, comfortable and spacious! I would return anytime!

best house have ever rented in whole nicaragua 3 rooms with bathroom each one a pool inside the house and half bathroom in the first floor, james was quick to answer and the kindest person, the house was being clean every day plus is in the best guarded and safe street of granada, just streets from la calzada bars, restaurants and clubs

The main thing about this place is just how interesting the space is (and large) the kind of open kitchen/pool/dining area is really cool with a mezzanine above. I'm not sure how the owner would feel about it, but this place would be the ultimate party venue! The lounge area is massive with high ceilings.

I absolutely loved my stay at James's house in Granada! The place was spotless, in a beautiful location in Calle el Consulado and had an incredible view over the city towards Mombacho volcano. James always responded immediately to any questions I had and Maria Esther made sure I knew how everything functioned, including the stunning indoor pool! I will definitely stay here again the net time I'm in Granada. Thanks again James!!
