Everything about our week long stay at Fort Walker over the New Year's holiday was spectacular. James, David and Iain of Nicaragua365 were available to get us whatever we needed during our stay, and Andrea's cooking was delicious and plentiful (the meal plan is excellent value and the food is wonderful). Nicaragua365’s high level of service and quick response times to requests make everything easier while you are there. It is difficult to describe how beautiful the house is. We had 9 people ranging from ages 5 to 65, and we were all comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. The pool is huge, and literally right on the beach. The Wifi worked great, so we were able to stream music all day long while sitting at the pool and enjoying the view, and watching the surfers. In the afternoons we enjoyed napping on the multiple hammocks throughout the house. Iian arranged surf lessons, in-house massages, and horseback riding on the beach (the horses literally galloped up to the house and picked up my 5 year old daughter!). A few of us did Yoga at the Yoga retreat that is a few minutes by foot down the beach. Hacienda Iguana feels very remote (in a good way) and tranquil, but with all of the conveniences that you need while away for a week (small convenience store, a couple of small restaurants, a surf shop, etc.). I highly recommend you rent a golf cart to drive around the property to visit the few little shops and restaurants, or to visit the small beach club that has a pool, a laid back restaurant and little bar right on the beach. Nicaragua365 provided us with everything we could have asked for on this trip, and Fort Walker and Hacienda Iguana made for the perfect family vacation.

The property itself was stunning and amazing, but the service and people at Nicaragua365 are what made this vacation truly remarkable. I stay at vacation rentals all over several times a year, and Fort Walker was the first time I left finding it very difficult to find anything negative to say or anything that needed improvement. The communication before, during, and after our stay was amazing from arranging transport to the property to making sure we made it home safely. Iain served as our concierge and made sure we were stocked up with everything we needed and was easily accessible with even the most random requests at all hours. The house is situated in a tranquil area of the resort conveniently located right on Panga Drops. Surfing was as easy as waking up and walking outside. They even have surfboards of all sizes you can rent at the house! The beach itself isn't crowded at all giving way to nice walks up to the cliff or down to playa Colorado. The cleaning and cooking staff was extremely friendly making us feel comfortable with them being around all day. Absolutley recommend the meal plan. Cecilia's cooking was amazing and we never went hungry. The house itself was very specious and had plenty amenities to make sure you have a good time including Wifi, satellite, bluetooth speaker, hammocks and of course the infinity pool which we took advantage of every day and night. I would 100% percent recommend this property and the services that N365 provides to anyone looking for an amazing and relaxing vacation.

We stayed in the "off Season" of October. There was a hurricane in the Caribbean for the first 2 days of our trip. The staff was EXCELLENT checking on us and assuring we were safe. The house is magnificent and solid. Once the weather cleared we we treated to 10-16ft surf with no one in the water. We ordered the catering plan Lobster, Steak, Fish were all fabulous. I will be back!

This place is amazing! This was our first trip and we can't wait to return. We surfed, ate great food and relaxed. Fort Walker is beautiful and well maintained. There are plenty of lounge areas to relax and enjoy the beach, pool or a good book when you are not surfing. Nicaraguan hospitality is next level. The Nicaragua 365 team made sure we had everything we needed to make the trip enjoyable and our chef prepared delicious, healthy meals. I already miss the homemade juice and salsa that was served daily.

Ft. Walker is the definitely a great beach front property, and the pictures do not do it justice. Last time, we stayed at another house nearby which was really good and I also recommended, but Ft. Walker is by far better. Great open floor plan, much more comfortable furniture, relaxing hammocks, and excellent pool. Plus it is situated in front of a killer a-frame surf break.

My husband and I stayed in the casita behind the main house. The studio was perfect for us; clean, well-equipped, and as close to Panga Drops as you can get. We really appreciated how quick Iain and David responded to our e-mails; they went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable stay and had everything we needed. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

This beachfront home boasts everything you could desire for a relaxing getaway....an open floor plan for our teenagers and their friends with spacious rooms, 180 degree ocean views, a great staff and chef that kept us well-fed...the pool, hammocks and rented golf cart were the teenagers favourite....when the surf was not going off. Iain, David and the staff at Fort Walker were fantastic. They made our stay pleasurable. David was instrumental in the booking process and fulfilling all our requests....while Iain went above the call of duty during our stay with his prompt response time and details...always available for our eleventh hour inquiries or desires. He even located lobster last minute for our final night dinner. You will not be disappointed with this property.

Fantastic house to stay in...we had 8 people, used the casita also. Staff was wonderful, Iain and David stayed in touch through the entire booking process, and provided great information while we stayed. They arranged for a few tours, transfers, and really cared about making sure we were comfortable. The house is directly in front of Panga Drops, maybe 3/4 mile walk to Colorados...so all good. You should plan on renting a golf cart to get around ($200/wk) or rent some bikes...as too long of a walk to get to the store, beach club, or other places inside the development. We used the meal plan, skipped a few as we wanted to try some other places to eat, but well worth it. Do not hesitate to book here....very relaxing.

We stayed at Fort Walker for our annual multi-family spring break trip and we were blown away. We have stayed all over Central America and we all agreed that this was one of best houses and locations (maybe the best!). David and Ian of Nicaragua356 took care of every need and last minute request (more ice, beers, a shuttle to take us to other nearby surfing beaches, etc.). All we had to do was send Ian a text and he would respond almost immediately to help with our question/request.

We stayed at Fort Walker for Spring break this year and it was absolutely ideal for our group. We had a group with two couples, a couple with a small child and a young adult and a couple with a teen, everyone's needs were met at this house in this location. The house had plenty of space, a great common area that could accommodate all of us and little spots to slip off to if you needed quiet. The pool was perfect, cleaned every day with a variety of seating surrounding it. We had surfers in our group and they were thrilled with the location and were able to rent surfboards right at the house. The town nearby ( 3 min golf cart ride ) had all that we needed, a surf shop, a market, an ice cream shop and a couple bars with food - so charming! I could go on and on about the house and the town that it's located in, but really it was Iain, David and the staff that really made our trip special. Every single need that we had was taken care of. We were picked up from the airport, greeted at the house and walked through everything. The refrigerator was stocked when we arrived, we were cooked delicious meals every day with things like fresh juice and homemade tortillas. If we ran out of anything or desired something we just had to shoot Iain a text, he would respond almost immediately. If we wanted to explore we were sent in the right direction and checked in on. We had amazing massages at the house on the deck while listening to the waves crash behind us. Our rooms were tidied every morning while we had breakfast. We were even hooked up with a ride to the airport when we were staying at another hotel in Granada. This property and all that comes with it is fantastic!

I strongly recommend Nicaragua365 for house rentals at Playa Colorado. David and James ensured our trip was a great success. The service they provide is the best we have encountered in all our travels. Part of our package was a concierge, Ian. Ian was one quick text away from looking after all our requests from fresh snapper for dinner, excursions to other sites, surfing lessons, or more wine. We opted for the meal plan and had a fantastic cook who started our day with a fresh fruit/vegetable drink that was fantastic. We requested healthy and she delivered. We look forward to our return next year.

We spent another fabulous Christmas at Fort Walker. We love the house and the layout which fit our two families, consisting of 10, more than comfortably. The porch and the living room are a great indoor/outdoor space. We surfed every day and took long walks on the beautiful beach. We were also perfectly content sitting on the porch overlooking the infinity pool and watching the surfers surf Panga drops. Many afternoons one of us could be found on the upstairs porch in one of the hammocks reading or napping. We were treated to wonderful meals always accompanied by fresh fruit juices.

We booked this property for 10 days and had an amazing experience! The property is spacious with incredible air flow due to the design. Absolutely love the open plan with big comfy furniture for dining and movie nights. The pool is heavenly right on the beach!

First off, let me say the the guys who manage the property are fantastic to deal with. Not only did the put up with literally over 100 emails between the back and forth we had, they responded very quickly to every one! They were able to arrange transportation and activities and accommodate our many changes to the itinerary we had leading up the the trip and during it (we had 10 people staying in Ft. Walker and another 4 in another house close by). On top of that, the staff who cooked and kept the house beautiful while we were there, was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Seven of us flew to Nicaragua to celebrate my 40th birthday. It will be a trip that I never forget! From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were taken care of. We had several requests throughout our stay - from special meals, a cake, surf lessons, wine runs, boogie boards, to a wonderful day trip - everything was taken care of. The service was something I had never experienced before in all of my travels. We were truly spoiled.

We spent Christmas 2014 at Fort Walker and had the most amazing week. We were 2 families with 6 teenagers ranging in age from 15-20. The house was amazing and slept all 10 of us comfortably. It is situated overlooking the beach. We spent many days on the porch at the edge of the infinity pool looking at the beautiful beach and watching the surfers. We felt as if we were on a private beach as there were never many people around. We surfed Panga Drops right in front of the house. The break was perfect for all abilities. We also hiked, horseback rode and took two excursions to Gigante to absorb the local culture.. We opted for the full catering package and were happy we did. We had a delicious brunch each day which always included eggs, pork product, fruit, fresh fruit drinks and so much more. Dinner each night was equally as good. We were well stocked and if we ever ran short someone was there in a flash with a delivery. James and David were there to welcome us and came by daily to make sure we had all that we needed. The staff was friendly and courteous and did all they could to make our trip a success. There is no doubt we will return to Nicaragua and stay at Ft. Walker. We truly loved every minute of our vacation!

Our 11 member family of three generations celebrated Thanksgiving at this magnificent home. We were pampered and cared for by the staff. Wonderful meals, mega trips by various Nicaragua 365 staff to support us - ice, surf lessons, booze, etc, etc. Anything we needed, they were there to assist.

From the moment we landed it was a journey that I want to repeat often. Fort Walker brings you to a place of peace and comfort and amazing waves. It is a place that reminds us to take time to disconnect from the world. From the personal staff & the grounds to the architecture and design of the space, every turn is impeccable and thoughtfully prepared.

Stayed here with a group of 8 guys and we all agreed it was one of the best vacations ever! David was so incredibly accommodating and helpful from the very beginning, and made sure we had everything we needed. We opted for the car service to and from the airport, and a chef during our 5 day visit. Wouldn't have done it any other way. Car service was prompt and comfortable, and the food was maybe the highlight during our visit, aside from the surfing. Fresh fish, meat, rice, beans, salsa, fresh juice, everything was absolutely delicious.

Amazing house - beautiful rooms, high ceilings... the furniture is great; modern and at the same time traditional. Really fantastic location, kind staff! The food was delicious & plentiful... favorites were banana pancakes, gallo pinto, pico de gallo & spicy chicken wings. Very nice not to do it ourselves and have to lug everything down.

I helped coordinate a 10 day stay with 10 friends at Fort Walker. The group was a mix of couples and individuals, surfers and non-surfers. The home's configuration of bedrooms/bathrooms and suites were a perfect solution. The living areas are incredibly spacious and inviting- ideal for indoor/outdoor living.

Been here before, will be back again. Can't beat the location. Spectacular!

My wife and I brought our 2 month old there and we were the first guests to stay in this house. It was amazing. Great attention to detail on the construction, nice open-aired layout, great view of Panga Drops, sturdy wifi, and magnificent pool just a few feet from the high-tide line.
