Guests enter Marisombra through the wrought iron
gates leading into the walled inner courtyard and pool
area. The design of Marisombra encourages outdoor
living,
with a patio dining room and lots of open terrace with
hammocks and rockers.
The air conditioned living/kitchen area faces toward
the patio (with views to the ocean as well) as do the
three air conditioned bedrooms on the first floor. The
Master Bedroom(air conditioned) on the second floor
opens onto a spacious terrace with views toward the
ocean and the inner courtyard; it also enjoys its own
private balcony toward the Pacific. Sit inside the
circular tower to enjoy the sounds and breezes from
the ocean or climb to the third story of the tower and
be at eye level with the howler monkeys.

the pool; dining room al fresco; circular "turret style"
staircase to the second floor terrace; locally made

Marisombra is located in the gated community of
Hacienda Iguana, so guests enjoy privileges as
members, including
the 9 hole course, beachside pool, grill, and volleyball
court. The protected community encourages wildlife,
including iguanas, howlers, and leatherback turtles
who lay their eggs on our beach in season.
Only 50 yards from the white sand Playa Iguana
on the Pacific Ocean, surfers will enjoy the world
class breaks of Colorado (100yards south)
and Panga Drops (300 yards north).

Optional Full Catering Plan...
Guests arrive to a fully stocked kitchen and there will be a chef onsite to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner Mon-Sat and brunch and dinner on Sunday. The emphasis is on fresh foods and fruit drinks - no packaged snacks or desserts. Fresh foods will be replenished regularly. Fisherman come to the door selling the catch of the day. Our cooking staff have years of experience cooking in restaurants and vacation homes. We can modify the menu to accommodate special diet needs or requests. If guests would like some traditional Nica dishes, let us know ahead of time so we can get the ingredients in. We suggest considering the Full Catering Plan for the first 3 days of your stay to allow you to settle in before needing to shop. The cost of the Full Meal Plan at Marisombra is currently $30/person/day
