4-5ft, light offshore, working best on the higher tides at the moment. Overcast through the morning, sunny afternoon.
5-6ft, glassy barrels all day. Overcast.
Grey day, scattered showers and light onshore. In spite of the onshore the waves were just about holding up. 4ft, glassy.
No wind, 3-4ft glassy barrels all day. Both the left and the right working well considering the Southerly swell direction.
Fresh swell coming in. At first rippy & disorganized, but sorted itself out thorough the day and was working well by the afternoon. 17 seconds, 3ft at 210 degrees.
Small today but perfectly glassy and a beautiful day. Occasional head high sneakers opening up on both the left & right.
The pros are still here and killing it. Hopefully they'll stick about for the next swell due to start juicing-up on Sunday. Next week looks promising :)
As usual the pros showed up a day late. Shame this lot weren't here Saturday, Sunday and Monday...
Mystery swell Has lost its punch, but still pumping!! Super hollow barrels opening up over the southern sand bar.
Mystery swell filled in through the night and been pumping all day. Looking good for the week ahead and a big one on the long range for early next week.
Similar to yesterday, but double the size. Makeable 6-7ft barrels on both the left and right.
Whatever was wrong with the sandbanks has been righted and Colorados was finally back on form today. Steady 3ft fun all day. Crowds have reduced.
2-3ft, sideshore. Messy. Crowded :(
Hot & hazy day with almost no wind. The swell has organized itself; clean, makeable barrels both on the left and right.
New swell coming in, but pretty disorganized. Stirred up and rippy throughout the day at Colorados. Improved momentarily on the falling tide.
Small but good form and fairly consistent. Should start happening tomorrow... Looks like the first rains could arrive May 5th
Jackson's back with Quiksilver stickers on his board and surfing better than ever!! Felicidades, Sr. Obando! 2-3ft, moderate side offshore.
Not much swell today, but plenty of wind. Next week looking the exact opposite - light wind & plenty of swell... Gotta love Nicaragua!!!!
OK early, sideshore mess in the afternoon.
Fun session snatched in the early morning, but generally weak again today and onshore wind in the afternoon. From Saturday and through next week its looking promising. 1st rains of the season drawing near....
Fun dawn raiders session before the onshore kicked in mid morning. The winds are forecast to switch back offshore tomorrow. Onshore mess through the afternoon.
Strong southerly swell (17 seconds, 2ft at 197 degrees) giving steady supply of 5-6ft glassy barrels throughout the morning. Bombs going off through the afternoon, but messier with moderate sideshore wind and strong rips.
One of those days - sunny, light offshore wind, sets running 3-5ft from morning till night :)
Super slick micro tube sequence, unfortunately the camera decided to focus on the white water in front. 2-3ft, light offshore. Grey skies for much of the day.
3-4ft with the odd 6-7ft rogue set rocking up. Wind got strong mid morning then died down again in the afternoon.
Fun start to the day, but got super crowded & tiny from 8am onwards. Not sure what's up with the models, but none of the latest swell happened. By sunset there was evidence of energy in the water, so maybe... maybe.... its gonna happen tomorrow...
Chest to head high, long wait between the sets. No sign of the new swell yet, maybe tomorrow...
Slightly bigger than yesterday, sets running at 3-4ft. All next week looking good!!
Nothing special today. Looks like as of tomorrow the first of a series of new swells will be arriving that should give good waves for the remainder of this week and all next week...
Sets running 3-5ft from dawn to dusk. Sunny day, light offshores. A huge bee's nest appeared overnight in an almond tree at The Wave Garden... Honey, anyone??
