What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is based on the belief that living beings have a vital energy (called Qi) that flows through energy channels in the body, like underground water flowing in streams beneath the surface of the earth. Each channel flows toward different organ systems and acupuncturists insert needles into specified points along these channels to stimulate the flow of Qi to specific groups of organs. Injuries may be treated by directing Qi toward the affected area, and likewise chronic ailments such as diabetes or arthritis.

You can easily hike to us from Hacienda Iguana, or come by bike. Follow the sign to 'La Vista' from the main Iguana driveway. Follow the track along. After about 1km you'll see a small wooden house, cross over the foot bridge there. Keep going up the hill and take the second left, uphill again. You'll see us about 200 meters along.
