Poste Rojo - Nicaragua's Original Treehouse Hostel

Treehouse Poste Rojo is an amazing backpacker hostel on the road between Granada and San Juan del Sur or Ometepe in Nicaragua, Central America. You will be inspired by the breathtaking views, comfortable habitation and excellent food and drink. You can enjoy the upbeat atmosphere, affordable prices and our incredible opportunities to experience unique wildlife. Our latest addition is a great outdoor Spanish School.

The Poste Rojo Spanish School

We teach Spanish through intensive courses that are focused on the students interests. The classes are small groups and each student recieves personal attention. Being in an outdor environment gives the opportunity for our students to get to know nature. The instructrs are very knowledgeable about local wildlife and culture. You will have the opportunity to spend as much as 8 hours a day with your instructor. The backpacker class includes 20 hours per week: 15 hours of Spanish lessons and 5 hours of cultural activities to get to know Nicaragua, its history, its nature and culture. The adventure class course offers the same activities with extra hours of Spanish and tours - 40 hours per week in total. There is a maximum of 6 students per group (average: 2 or 3). It's also possible to have an individual program adapted to your personal needs and goals.

From Granada

At the bottom of the market, past the PALI is the bus stop for Rivas. Take ANY bus leaving from there. Ask the bus driver to drop you at Poste de Oro which is about 20 mins ride. From Poste de Oro, walk up the hill next to the Jehovah Church. Stay left and about 100 meters from the main road you'll see a football field. Behind the goalpost nearest Granada is an entrance. We are signposted at the end of that road, about 50 meters along.
