Jicaro Island is one of the small islands (isleta) just a few minutes boat ride from the colonial town of Granada, Nicaragua. This private island getaway affords spectacular views of the Mombacho Volcano and the other Isletas in Lake Nicaragua.

The Accommodation: Private Casitas
Jicaro Island boast nine two story casitas of 60 square meters each - so plenty of space to relax, enjoy the lake views and get away from it all. All the casitas have been built with Rainforest Alliance FSC certified cedar hardwood and feature an upstairs bedroom with a king size bed and a downstairs living area with a well furnished private balcony. The downstairs living area can be converted to a sleeping area for an extra person. All nine casitas have lake views and are within a short walk from the pool and restaurant area. Early morning coffee and late afternoon 'sundowner' delivery service is available on request.
The Culinary Experience
The culinary experience is one of the most important parts of your stay with us on Jicaro Island. Our small outdoor restaurant with an open kitchen serves fresh, local, organic, healthy dishes with a focus on fish, chicken, vegetables and fruits. Traditional Nicaraguan specialities are given a gourmet twist by our expert chefs to meet and exceed the expectations of our well travelled guests. Breakfast, lunch and supper as well as non alcoholic drinks are included in the room rate and a full service bar is available for alcoholic beverages. We believe that with the best & tastiest ingredients, you can cook very simply and the food will be extraordinary because it tastes like what it is.
